By Our Corresponden,Taplejung, Feb. 17: A documentary music video titled ‘Taplejungko Shiraiima Seto Juhar’, featuring renowned Nepali artist Milan Newar and singer Birendra Shrestha, has been released at Phungling, the district headquarters of Taplejung .
The musical documentary aims to unveil the essence of tourism, cultural heritage and identity of Taplejung.
The music for the song has been composed by Shankar Thapa (Smile), with lyrics penned by Tank Bahadur Bhattarai, a writer and the deputy Chief District Officer of Taplejung.
Bhattarai’s lyrics beautifully capture the ethnic diversity, cultural richness and authenticity of Taplejung, mentioning the name of beautiful locations such as Kangchenjunga, Kumbhakarna, Sinjema Lake, Olangchung Gola, Timbung Pokhari, Phungphunge waterfall and more.
The documentary vividly captures these tourist attractions and cultural touches as depicted in the song’s lyrics.
The video features models Dinesh Lingkhim, Preeti Thalang, Prince Limbu, Vanem Kumar and others adorned in traditional costumes, highlighting the cultural essence of Taplejung.
Notably, distinguished figures like the House of Representatives Member Liladevi Bokhim and former minister Bal Bahadur Samsohang make appearances as guests in the musical documentary.
The production coordination is led by Harkaraj Gurung, while cinematography and editing are handled by Keshav Adhikari and Prakash Basnet, respectively.
