Menuka roped in another Indian project as a playback singer

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 12:Singer Menuka Poudel, who was one of the most loved contestants of the Indian singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 14’, has been roped in for ‘Karmaa Meets Kismet’, another project as a playback singer.

 Menuka had earlier made her debut as a playback singer in a South Indian film titled ‘Salaar’. 

‘Karma Meets Kismat’ will be her second Indian project as a playback singer.

 Currently, Menuka is in Kathmandu. 

After elimination from the show, she journeyed to Nepal via Mechi Bridge and received a grand welcome in her hometown in Jhapa last week.

 During her interview with Prime Time HD, Poudel expressed her readiness to sing in any language for film projects.

 She also announced her plans to engage in live music performances, including concerts and a world tour alongside Indian Idol, which has already been arranged.

 Poudel said that she is touring countries like America, the UK, Mauritius, South Africa, and more.

According to the Indian news agency IANS, this film will be written and directed by Geetanjali Sinha. 

The film also features songs by Sonu Nigam and Sadhana Sargam.

According to IANS, Poudel said, “I am deeply moved by the love and blessings that seem to have paved this beautiful path for me. 

Being a part of this enriching movie has been an immense blessing, and its story has profoundly inspired me. This romantic Sufi song is a masterpiece that goes straight to the heart, reminding us of love in its purest form.”

Sharing why she chose Menuka Poudel for the song, Geetanjali Sinha said, "The honesty and purity in Menuka's voice pulled me to her like a magnet, as per IANS.
