Litterateurs felicitated

By A Staff Reporter,Lalitpur, Feb. 6: Three writers were felicitated by the World Nepali Literature Federation Lalitpur branch at a function organised in Lagankhel recently.

Poets Ramnath Adhikari Sangee and Neera Shrestha were felicitated with poetry honour while Rajesh Man KC received science literature honour.

Academician and chief of Nepal Academy Poetry Department Baba Basnet and chairman of Jyoti Literature Academy Maniraj Singh handed over the letters of honour plaques to them. 

Appreciation letter to Buddhi Bikash Mandal Library and certificates to the new members of the branch were also distributed at the function.

Applauding the campaign of the organisers, academician Basnet requested to not spread disappointment among people. 

'We should talk about hope that leads us to the bright days ahead,' she urged.

Poet Maniraj Singh said that the Lalitpur branch of the Federation has done much more in a very short period.

Chairman of the Lalitpur branch of the Federation Buddhiman Maharjan shed light on the activities of the branch. Sudha Mishra, general secretary of the branch, listed out the plans. 

At the function, poets including Baba Basnet, Maniraj Singh, Juman Kiran, Toyanath Subedi, Chinimaya Majhi, Shree Ram Paudel, Pushpaj KC, Shekhar Acharya, Neera Shrestha, Sudha Mishra, Budhdiman Maharjan and others recited their poems.
