By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 4: In order to solve the current economic crisis, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has decided to create a roadmap to solve the economic crisis through a national consultation in cooperation with the government, Nepal Rastra Bank, development partners, economists and the private sector.

The third meeting of the Federation's executive committee held at Dhorpatan in Baglung district urged all stakeholders to find a solution to the problems and decided to organise a mega national discussion in the last week of Ashoj to find out a solution to the current crisis.

The Federation complained that the government and regulatory bodies did not take the issues raised by the private sector seriously and that the state thought that economy and business issues were the problems of the private sector only.

The FNCCI said that all stakeholders of the economy should be united in order to solve the current crisis.

Announcing the decision of the executive committee, the president of the FNCCI, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, said that four important decisions, including making the visit to Nepal 2025 a success have been made.

It has been announced that the year 2023-32 will be celebrated as the tourism decade in the annual budget of the current fiscal year.

In order to support the efforts of the government, the meeting decided to cooperate with the government of Nepal to celebrate 2025 as the Year of Visiting Nepal from the private sector, he said.

He said that the private sector would organise various programmes related to tourism promotion in the federal, province and district/city levels during the Year of  Visiting Nepal campaign.

He said that FNCCI has decided to include the logo of the visit year on the letterheads of the Federation and its member associations/organisations.

Similarly, the Federation has decided to hold investment conferences in all seven provinces in collaboration with the provincial governments.

It has also decided to organise national-level conferences focusing on India and China in collaboration with the federal government to bring in investments from India and China.

Dhakal said that the Federation has decided to establish a large investment company with the participation of businessmen from all 77 districts and invest in large and multifaceted projects.

By developing a sense of belonging to the organisation among the members of the Federation, it has started organising meetings of the Federation in various potential locations within the country to identify the local potential and increase investment.

At the same time, the third meeting of the executive committee of the FNCCI was held on Monday in Dhorpatan, Baglung district, the home district of Dhakal.
