Artistes are jewels of nation: DPM Khadka

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 4: Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has said that artists are the jewel of the nation. 

Speaking at a song release programme in Kathmandu on Tuesday, the DPM said that artistes have increased the status of the country through their arts.

The artistes have contributed a lot in spreading social awareness through songs, music and performances, and art is also contributing to a big change in the field of social justice in the country, he said while releasing the song ‘Rato Tiki’ 

DPM Khadka said that artistry has made a great contribution to speaking in favour of women's rights and breaking social stigma.

He said that songs, music and artistry would work as a great weapon for the transformation of society.
