Kathmandu, Aug 1 : President Ram Chandra Paudel has been invited to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-28) to be held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) in coming November and December.
The COP-28 is taking place from upcoming November 30 to December 12 in the UAE's Dubai.
UAE's Ambassador to Nepal Abdulla Al Shamsi called on President Paudel at the latter's office today and extended the event's invitation to him, said Dr Suresh Chalise, President's foreign affairs expert told RSS.
The UAE's envoy handed over the invitation letter sent by President of UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayad Al Nahyan, to President Paudel for his participation in the World Climate Action Summit to be held on December 1-2 under the COP 28.
Similarly, the UAE's President has invited his Nepali counterpart for his graceful presence in the celebratory event to be organized on the 52nd National Day of the UAE, shared Dr Chalise. (RSS)
