By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 31: The country has recorded more than 1,000 new cases of dengue in just four days.
According to Dr Rudra Marasini, Director of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, Teku, 1,024 new cases of dengue have been reported from 66 districts in the last four days.
A total of 291 new cases in Bagmati, 173 in Sudurpashchim, 171 in Gandaki, 154 in Koshi, 113 in Lumbini, 16 in Karnali and 14 new cases have been added in Madhesh Province.
Dr Marasini informed that so far three people have lost their life from dengue in Sunsari district. With this, a total of 5,688 cases of dengue have been reported so far from 70 districts this year.
According to Dr Marasini, the highest number of Dengue infections has been reported in Koshi Province. 3,821 cases of dengue have been reported in the Province.
Similarly, so far, 963 total cases of dengue have been reported in Bagmati Province, 357 in Gandaki, 325 in Sudurpashchim, 170 in Lumbini, 26 in Karnali and 27 cases in Madhesh Province.
