Tri-national transit point within five years: Leader Lekhak

Mahendranagar, July 28 : Nepali Congress chief chip Ramesh Lekhak has said the proposed Dodhara Chandani dry port will be developed in Kanchanpur as a tri-national transit by connecting it to China via Mahakali corridor.     

In his address to the first NC Town Convention for Dodhara Chandani on Friday, he pledged to take initiation to develop the proposed dry port as the transit among Nepal, India and China.     

"This mission will be achieved within next five years," he said, adding that it was needed for industry, trade, and tourism development of the area.     

Reminding his election commitments, he urged the public not to doubt the implementation of the proposal to build the dry port. "The structure will be readied by the next three months and it was agreed to build the port during the prime-ministerial visit to India." (RSS)
