July 28: Kikuta Yutaka, ambassador of Japan to Nepal, hosted a send-off party
for Nepal's civil servants who will be studying in Japan under the project for
Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) at his official residence today.
Speaking on the
occasion, Ambassador Kikuta congratulated the successfully selected JDS fellows
and expressed his hope that they would enjoy a good learning environment in
Japan.
"Investment
in human resource development is similar to building foundation for
development. I believe, by offering JDS we are also contributing to development
of Nepal. Moreover, as education is mainstay of people-to-people relation
between the two countries, JDS will surely strengthen such a relation,"

experience as well as deepen their understanding about Japan, and wished them a
great success.
The JDS
offers Nepal's young government officials two-year Master's Degree courses and
