Kshitiz's new poetry anthology hits market

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 29:‘Parbat Parbat Ma Batuwa Gham’ (The Tourist Sun In The Mountains), an anthology of poems by poet Ramesh Kshitiz, has been a buzz in the town among poetry lovers.

Divided in five parts which represent Pancha Mahabhut in Eastern philosophy, the book consists of 53 philosophical and spiritual poems. The poems were composed over 15 years by the poet.

“The poems are not like hymns, but hymns of life themselves,” senior poet Avinash Shrestha has commented in the book. The book is published by Bookhill, Kathmandu.

“These poems contain unique symbols which will give totally new taste for the readers,” head of Bookhill Bhupendra Khadka, claimed.

Kshitiz has three books of poetry and lyrics to his credit prior to this.

Meanwhile, a discussion programme on the book was organised in Sukute, Sindhupalchok on Saturday.

At the programme, authors Kumar Nagarkoti and Rajkumar Baniya spoke on the aesthetics of Kshitiz's creation while journalist Basanta Basnet discussed the book with Kshitiz. 

Yangesh and Jyoti Jungle recited some poems by Kshitiz.
