By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 2: Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Prabhu Ram Sharma has said that Nepali Army has been conducting various social and humanitarian activities to help the retired soldiers lead a dignified life.
Addressing the Ex-Army Conference held in Dang on Tuesday, Commander-in-Chief, General Sharma said that the NA was trying to expand its long-term welfare services and facilities by making proper use of the available resources to its retired forces. The Chief of the Army Staff also spoke about the new initiatives implemented through the welfare fund, considering the needs and financial obligations of the Nepali Army's serving and retired military personnel, whose number is increasing.
CoAS Sharma also gave a message to all the stakeholders that everyone would be successful in their life if they stayed home and worked hard without going abroad.Ex-military personnel from six districts attended the conference held at the Ranadal Singh Battalion in Dang under the Mid-western Division, Butwal.
Ex-armies from Dang, Salyan, East Rukum and West Rukum, Rolpa and Pyuthan participated in it. On the occasion of the conference, a military medical team organised a three-day health camp at the conference venue and provided various healthcare services.
