blog

By Our Correspondent,Sarlahi, Feb. 25Construction of 15-bed community hospital in Kaudena Rural Municipality in the southern part of Sarlahi district has been moving ahead rapidly.

The rural municipality is constructing the hospital at Phulparasi in Ward No 2.

Chairman of Kaudena Rural Municipality Rupesh Kumar Yadav (Ballu) informed that fresh concrete was placed on the first floor of the hospital on Friday.

According to Yadav, the 15-bed hospital was constructed in the rural municipality with the aim of ending the compulsion of local residents to go to Birgunj or Janakpur to receive medical services even for common illness.

Chairman Yadav said that the construction would be completed  and the hospital would come into operation by May this year.

There is not a single hospital in the east of Malangahawa up to the Postal Highway.

Yadav further informed that the hospital was being constructed as per the commitment he had made during the local level election held in May last year that he would build a hospital and provide health services to the people.

According to him, as soon as the construction of the hospital completes, it will start to provide services by hiring specialist doctors.

After the construction of the hospital in Kaudena, residents of Godaita, Vishnu and Ramnagar Rural municipalities and other neighbouring local levels would be benefitted.

Chief administrative officer of the rural municipality Shambhu Prasad Yadav mentioned that the community hospital was being constructed at a cost of Rs. 20 million.
