Janakpur Literary Festival kicks off

By Our Correspondent,Janakpur, Feb. 24: The fourth edition of the three-day ‘Janakpur Literary Festival’ has begun on the premises of Janaki temple in Janakpurdham since Thursday.

Ram Baran Yadav, the first President of Nepal, inaugurated the festival, informed the organiser Nawa Mithila Foundation. 

Madhes Province’s Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav, members of the House of Representatives, provincial ministers, provincial assembly members, Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City’s representatives and literary personalities were present in the festival, informed the organiser. 

According to the organiser, this year, 20 different open-air panel discussions on literature, music, cinema, culture, identity, society and politics will be held in the festival. The festival has been organised every year for the past three years.

Students, politicians, artists, musicians, writers and others will participate in the festival.
