By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 3: Singer Himal Sagar is upbeat after his new duet "A Hora Maya" went viral on social media.  Returning from his musical US tour, singer Himal released his new duet with popular Tharu Language singer Annu Chaudhary in a gap of a year. Released one week ago on YouTube, A Hora Maya has already crossed 2.5 million views.

Bimal Adhikari composed the lyrics and music of the song. A popular model in the Nepali Lok Dohori music videos, Adhikari also produced and modelled in the song. Popular TikToker Sanisha Bhattarai has also modelled opposite to Adhikari in the romantic number.

Both Sagar and Adhikari were overwhelmed by the response they received in the short period for their new release. According to Adhikari, more than two million short videos had already been made in TikTok alone within a week.

"We have expected the duet would be gradually popular. We are, however, astounded by the song being an instant hit on social media," said Singer Sagar.

Lyricist and music composer Adhikari said he had not expected the song would be a hit when the nation was glued to the screen for the election result and world cup football matches. "It is good to find out that our new release succeeds to attract viewers from the election and World Cup mood."

Adhikari said that he wrote the song thinking about Himal. "As I am a huge fan of his harmonious voice. I jotted down occupied with the voice of Himal and finished the lyrics in one sitting for coffee."

The song is the first collaboration between Singer Himal and Adhikari. Moreover, this is also Himal's first duet with Annu Chaudhary, who has already won the hearts of music lovers with her melodious voice in various Tharu songs. Her crooning already had received praise from music fans for bringing the vibes of popular Bollywood singer Alka Yagnik.

Annu, however, was not the first choice for the song. "First, I have finalised another female singer. But after hearing her, I could not stop myself from signing her for this song."

Buoyed by the success of their first joint effort, they are already working on a new number. "We have already started working on our next project. It will probably hit the market within a month," Singer Himal informs.
