Affairs Dr. Narayan Khadka has appreciated the role played by the members of
honorary consular corps in strengthening bilateral relations.
Inaugurating the 15th annual general meeting and charter day
of the honorary consular corps, Nepal (HCCN), the foreign minister also thanked
the members for their medical and humanitarian support and also generous
humanitarian support to the public of Afghanistan.
Foreign Minister Dr. Khadka also distributed a letter of
appreciation to contributors of the humanitarian support to Afghanistan,
according to the press note of the HCCN.
The annual report submitted by Dean Lok Manya Golcha, honorary consular
of Poland, and the financial status report for the year by Narayan Bajaj,
honorary consular of Romania, were discussed and approved by the members
present, read the press note.
HCCN Dean Golcha completed his one-year tenure and welcomed Dinesh
Shrestha, honorary consular of Malta, to take over the charge as dean for the
year 2022-23 and Bishnu Kumar Agrawal, honorary consular general of the Czech Republic,
as the incoming dean for the year 2022-23.
In concluding the programme, Dinesh Shrestha, the new dean, thanked all the members present for their support during the tenure of outgoing dean Golcha and requested the same support during his tenure as the dean.
