NC candidate Shrestha elected Katari Mayor

Bhotraj Rai, Udayapur, May 25: Nepali Congress candidate Rajesh Chandra
Shrestha has been elected the mayor of Katari municipality in Udayapur district.
Shrestha
got 6,417 votes against his closest rival Krishna Prasad Baral, an independent
candidate, who got 5,952 votes.
Geeta Khadka of CPN (UML) has been elected the deputy
mayor of the municipality with 6,413 votes against her nearest rival Binod
Kumar Katuwal, a candidate of CPN (Maoist Center), who got 3,821 votes.
