Police, APF enter final at Tiger Cup

By Our Correspondent,Lekhnath, Feb.1: Nepal Police Club has reached the men's final, while APF Club has advanced to the women's final at the 5th Tiger Cup National and International Volleyball Tournament underway in Pokhara. 

The remaining two finalists will be determined through qualifier matches scheduled for Saturday.

In the men's category, Police had a hard-fought victory over Tribhuvan Army Club in a thrilling five-set match, winning with scores of 25-14, 22-25, 25-22, 23-25, and 15-12. 

In the women's category, APF showcased a strong performance against the host Tiger Group, winning the match with scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, and 26-24, putting them on the brink of title defense. APF will face the winner of the match between New Diamond Sports Club and Tiger Group in the final.

Meanwhile, Gandaki Province triumphed over India's Sunil Volleyball Club in the men's eliminator with scores of 31-33, 25-17, 25-16, and 25-17, securing their place in Qualifier 2. Gandaki will compete against Tribhuvan Army Club in Qualifier 2 for a spot in the men's final.

The final is scheduled for Sunday, and the champions in both categories will receive a cash prize of Rs. 585,555, while the runners-up will receive Rs. 285,555.
