Refusal of sexual consent killed two teenagers in Achham murder case

By Ramesh Bahadur Rawat/ Shivraj Dhungana, Achham,Feb.1: It has been revealed that the refusal of sexual proposals from teenage girls might have led to them being killed by vicious young age killers. 

The dead bodies of 15-year-old Saraswati Khadka and 14-year-old Ishara Khadka of Dhakari Rural Municipality-8, Achham district were found in the Sunghar community forest located at Dhakari Rural Municipality on Saturday evening.

Two teenage girls who went from home to graze goats on January 24 were found dead the next day. 

Based on the suspicion of the incident and the complaint of the family, two teenagers aged 17 and 15, were under investigation, and it has been revealed during the investigation that they might have a hand in it.

Chief of the Achham District Police Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ishwari Prasad Bhandari, said that the arrested persons are being investigated for the crime of murder by the Achham District Court by extending remand for five more days.

Those arrested have pleaded guilty to murder. It was revealed that they had murdered the statement given to the police and the investigation. 

Achham police will hold a press conference on Saturday morning about the development. 

According to the information given by the police, the accused had also reached the forest where the deceased had gone to graze goats on the day of the incident. Both the accused were lovers of deceased girls and had reached the site of the incident through telephone communication. 

The accused asked for a shawl to girls, to which Ishara complied while Saraswati denied it. Saraswati was returning home with their cattle without giving a shawl and was asked to be involved in sexual intimacy which she denied later becoming the reason for her being bludgeoned to death by stones. 

Ishara then ran away from the site of the incident saying that she would reveal everything to villagers and while escaping she also was killed by her boyfriend, a 17-year-old boy, by bludgeoning with stones. 

They staged the crime scene later and removed Ishara body from the murder site. 

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
