Rautahat, Feb 1: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has stressed the need for advancing the construction of Nijgadh International Airport.
Speaking at a programme organized by Media for Border Harmony Rautahat, a joint forum of journalists from Nepal and India, on Saturday, the former PM argued that the proposed international airport was essential from touristic and business proposes.
Chairman Nepal further committed to initiate the construction process of the airport.
Similarly, local leaders and people's representatives seconded Nepal's views and opine to get united for exerting pressure to advance the constriction bid of the airport.
Rautahat chapter Chairman of Harmony, Kishori Ray Yadav and Harmony chair from Indian side, Amarendra Tiwari, briefed about the activities of the organization.
The organization issued 17 common agendas faced by peoples of border areas from both countries and has urged the stakeholders to address the issues.(RSS)
