23 people arrested in possession of narcotic drugs

Kathmandu, June 6: Police arrested a total of 23 people from various parts of the country today in possession of narcotic drugs.     

According to Nepal Police, the arrests were made in Kathmandu, Jhapa, Chitwan, Siraha, Udayapur, Dang and Kailali districts.     

Police nabbed 11 people from Kathmandu, six from Jhapa, two from Chitwan and one each from Siraha, Udayapur, Dang and Kailali, the central news desk of Nepal Police stated.     

Police also held illegal drugs and contraband substances such as brown sugar, cannabis and various pharmaceutical tablets that ought to be bought only through doctors' prescription.     

Those individuals were held during the routine patrol, police said.(RSS)
