Kathmandu, April 27 (RSS): A meeting of the five-party political alliance today decided to instruct the respective subordinate bodies to implement its agreements made in view of the local elections slated for May 13.

The meeting was held under the chair of Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba took a seven-point decision, seeking enforcement of its agreements for the local elections.

The meeting decided to direct withdrawal candidacies filed on behalf of parties within the alliance at six metropolises and 11 sub-metropolises which are against its decision.

Likewise, related political parties will do the needful to make the withdrawal of independent candidacies and to organise a meeting of its province and district mechanism today itself to have an agreement on seat-sharing for different posts at the ward level in metropolises and sub-metropolises.

The press statement is signed by top leaders in the alliance.

Similarly, the meeting decided not to forge an electoral alliance with any political party outside the camp and to seek to rescind if any electoral alliance has been forged against it.

Prime Minister and NC President Deuba, CPN (Maoist Centre)’s chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (Unified Socialist) chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal Upendra Yadav and Rashtriya Janamorcha vice-chair Durga Poudel have signed on the document.
