Application for Miss Nepal opened

Kathmandu, Apr 19 : The Hidden Treasure (THT), the official organizer of Miss Nepal for the past 27 years, has announced the opening of an application for Miss Nepal Pageant 2022.

The application for the Miss Nepal 2022 has officially been opened from April 18 to May 14, informed the organizer at a press meet held in the capital on Monday.  

According to the Chairman of Hidden Treasure, Diwakar Raj Karnikar, the criteria for Miss Nepal have been changed this year in terms of age and height. 

He said that the height has been reduced to 5.3 feet from 5. 4 feet while the age limit has been increased to 27 from 26 years.

The Hidden Treasure will conduct the audition for Miss Nepal in all the seven provinces of the country from this year, added Karnikar.   

The auditions will be held in Birjung, Dharan, Dhangadhi, Kathmandu, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, and Surkhet from April 22 to May 10, informed the organizer. 

Winners will be crowned the titles of Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal Earth, and Miss Nepal International this year, as the title of Miss Supranational has been dropped this year, according to Karnikar 

 The finale of Miss Nepal is scheduled to be held at the newly constructed Sunrise Convention Centre of Godawari in Lalitpur on June 18. 

Miss Nepal was not organized last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

This year, Dabur Vatika is the main sponsor while Wow Skin Science and  Ruslan will is co-sponsor. 

Like the previous years, The Hidden Treasure has chosen Raj Bhai Suwal as its official photographer and Rachana Gurung as its official choreographer.  

Last year, Miss Nepal World Namrata Shrestha participated in the Miss World 2021 held in Puerto Rico.
