By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, June 4: The month-long Nepal Photo Festival 2026 is set to conclude on June 13 in Ghandruk, with the announcement of winning photographs, prize distribution and special recognition programmes. The festival was launched in Pokhara on May 16.

Organised by the WordPress Pokhara Community, the festival aims to bring together photography enthusiasts from Nepal and abroad on a common platform while promoting creativity, culture and community engagement through visual storytelling.

According to the organiser, more than 1,800 photographs have been submitted for the festival so far. Entries have been received from across Nepal as well as from Nepalis living abroad and international participants.

The organisers said the event is open not only to professional photographers but also to students using mobile phones cameras, DSLR users, travel enthusiasts, content creators, journalists, artists, teachers, tourists and anyone interested in photography and visual storytelling.

According to organisers, the festival has been launched with the objective of showcasing Nepal’s mountains, rivers, lakes, culture, traditions and everyday life to a global audience while helping create a visual archive of the country’s cultural and natural heritage.
