Cleanliness campaign in government offices from Monday

Kathmandu, May 10: The National Cleanliness Week is to be launched in government offices from Monday.

The government has started a cleanliness week in all offices at the federal, provincial and local levels. For this, guidelines for the operation of the cleanliness week have been issued, said Subarna Bajracharya, a branch officer of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. 

The cleanliness week has been initiated to maintain a clean, healthy and organized environment in all government bodies and educational institutions and to develop hygiene-related practices. 

The cleanliness week will be launched at Bir Hospital at 8:30 am on Monday in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population, shared Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry. He said that the cleanliness week will also be launched in all hospitals across the country at the same time.

Indicators specified in the guidelines for office cleanliness measurement, toilet and hygiene measurement, cleanliness of educational institutions and public places, canteen and kitchen cleanliness, waste management measurement, service recipient experience measurement, and institutional sustainability measurement are to be enforced.
