Patan (Lalitpur), April 27: Nepali Congress spokesperson Devraj Chalise has said that it is not appropriate to bring an ordinance by suspending the parliamentary session.
After the meeting of the Central Executive Committee held today at the party's central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, he told the media that it was inappropriate to postpone the parliamentary session and issue an ordinance, and that the party disagrees with such an action.
"On one hand, the session was postponed after being convened, and on the other hand, there is talk of bringing an ordinance bypassing parliament; doing so is not a dignified step. Necessary laws should be brought in a transparent manner from the Parliament, the people's supreme body," spokesperson Chalise said.
He had provided information about various decisions of the work execution committee meeting chaired by the party president Gagan Kumar Thapa.
Spokesperson Chalise drew the government's attention, stating that the government has shown no interest in providing relief in the event of excessive price hikes in petroleum products and investigating the damages from the Gen Z protests on Spetmeber 8 and 9, 2025.(RSS)
