Police constable killed in Parsa, four arrested

By Kanahiya Lal Kesari, Parsa, April 13: A 28-year-old police constable, Bikash Chaurasiya, who was serving at the District Police Office, Saptari, has been found murdered in Parsa. 

Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.

According to Hari Bahadur Basnet, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Parsa, Chaurasiya was found seriously injured at around 5:00 PM on Sunday at the house of Firoz Miya in Murli, Birgunj Metropolitan City-9.

Following the information, a police team rushed to the scene and rescued him before taking him to Narayani Hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Police said that Chaurasiya had sustained multiple injuries caused by a sharp weapon on different parts of his body.

DSP Basnet said that four people have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder.

 The arrested individuals have been identified as 26 year old Santosh Sah of Rautahat, his 24 year old wife Soni Sah, 19 year-old Bishal Sah of Bara, and 20 year old Indian national Kanhaiya Kumar.

Police said an investigation into the case is underway, and further details cannot be made public at this time.

Constable Chaurasiya had come to Parsa on 10 days’ home leave. His permanent residence is in Kalikamai Rural Municipality-1, Parsa.
