A delegation led by the organisation’s chairperson, Daljit Shripali, submitted a memorandum to Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal at the ministry on Sunday, urging the authorities to take legal action against those involved in the incident and ensure justice for the victim’s family.

The organisation also drew the attention of the concerned authorities to the need for strict action against those responsible. It further called for an assessment of the physical and psychological harm undergone by the victim’s family and demanded justice as well as appropriate compensation.

He emphasised that impunity must end in the country and said the government was committed to maintaining peace and security by controlling criminal activities and undesirable incidents.

Sixteen-year-old Inisha B.K., a Grade 11 student at Usha Balbatika School, originally from Gurvakot Municipality–6 in Surkhet District and currently residing in Birendranagar–1, was raped and murdered.
