By Our Correspondent, Okhaldhunga, Jan 5: An inspirational program along with the distribution of school bags was organised at Gramodaya Yugkavi Siddhicharan Secondary School in Okhaldhunga through the joint collaboration of Shiksha Foundation and the Okhaldhunga Disaster Management Society.
The distributors stated that the programme was organised with a aim to ease students’ educational journeys, boost their motivation toward learning, and build confidence for the future.
Speaking as the chief guest, Guru Kedar Baral, President of the Okhaldhunga Disaster Management emphasised that education is the foundation of a sustainable society. President Baral clarified that the Okhaldhunga Disaster Management Society is not active only during disasters, but continuously works in areas such as community development, management, awareness building, education, health, and social service.
Ward Chairperson of Likhu Rural Municipality–6, Tika Magar, stated that although the school is gradually developing as a model institution, several challenges still remain. He expressed gratitude to Shiksha Foundation and the Okhaldhunga Disaster Management Society for organising the programme to encourage and motivate students.
Addressing the programme, member of the Koshi Province Assembly from Okhaldhunga , Baburam Gautam, emphasised that working with truth, honesty, and responsibility is everyone’s duty and urged all to remain accountable to society.
On the occasion, former headteacher Netrakumari Paudel was specially honoured for her significant contribution to the academic development of the school.
