By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 5: Nepal has reiterated its firm commitment to the One China Principle and affirmed that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory.
Issuing a response to media queries on Sunday, the
spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stated that Nepal and
the People’s Republic of China successfully concluded series of celebrations
marking the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2025 through the
organisation of various events in both countries.
"In response to media queries, the Spokesperson
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal stated that Nepal and the People’s
Republic of China successfully concluded a series of celebrations marking the
70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2025 through the organisation
of various events in both countries," stated the Ministry.
Referring to the close neighbourly relations between the two countries, based on the strong foundations of the ‘Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence’, age-old ties of friendship, and mutual respect for each other’s sensitivities, the Spokesperson also reiterated Nepal’s firm commitment to the ‘One China Principle’ and stated that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
