By TRN Online, Birgunj, Jan 5: The District Administration Office, Parsa, has issued a
prohibitory order in view of the tension arising over religious and social issues and the risk of possible clashes.
Prohibitory orders have been clamped in key and sensitive areas
of Birgunj Metropolitan City, coming into effect from 1 PM on Monday until further notice.
According to the notice issued by Chief District Officer of
the district, Bhola Dahal, in accordance with sub-section 3(A) of Section 6 of the Local
Administration Act, 2028, any kind of gathering, assembly, procession, and
demonstration have been completely banned within the designated areas to
maintain peace and security.
The ban will be exercised till the Bus Park area in the east,
Sirsia Bridge in the west, Power House Chowk in the north, and Shankaracharya
Gate in the south.
The DAO, Parsa, has warned that those found violating the
prohibitory order will be strictly punished as per the law.
This step has been taken to maintain peace, as tension and sensitivity have been rising in the area lately.
