By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 4: Four leftist parties in Nepal have condemned the US military attack on Venezuela saying that the aggression was against the UN charter and principle of sovereignty.
Issuing a statement
on Sunday, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) objected to the attack saying use
of force against any sovereign country by another country goes in violation of democratic
values, international law and civilized world.
In the statement
undersigned by Ganesh Man Pun on behalf of the NCP central office, the NCP
demanded that the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his spouse should be
immediately released and that the people of Venezuela be given their right to choose
political, economic and social system.
In the statement
issued entitled press release against the attack on Venezuela, CPN (Maoist) termed
the attack as destructive and aggressive and condemned it.
In the statement
undersigned by general secretary of the party, Biplov C (Netra Bikram Chand), said
that the attack was carried because Venezuela was pursuing a socialist path and
urged the global community to oppose the US aggression.
Similarly, Progressive Democratic Party and Revolutionary Communist Party Nepal also issued statement opposing the US military attack and capture of Venezuelan President Maduro as blatant violation of international law.
