Kaski, Oct. 31: Actor Rajesh Hamal has said that his book ‘Yug Dekhi Yug Samma’ is written entirely about his life and experiences.
During the final session of the Fever Ghumti Sahitya Utsav, organised by FinePrint Books and the Random Readers Society, Hamal opened up about many aspects of his past in a conversation with journalist Apil Tripathi. Their discussion was centered on his book ‘Yug Dekhi Yug Samma’.
“This book is about my life and the experiences. We have tried to write it with complete honesty and openness, without exaggeration or unnecessary embellishment,” Hamal said.
He added that the book has also considered the sensitivities of the people connected to his life.
Hamal shared that he entered the film industry because of his personal interest. “When I joined films, I did not have support from my family. I got into it purely out of my own desire. However, even after achieving success in films, I did not get the chance to share that success with my family,” he said.
When journalist and moderator Apil Tripathi asked if he planned to enter politics, Hamal said he could not give a definitive answer at the moment. “I do not come from a political background. I am a very independent person, engaged in my own profession. But the reason anyone might be interested in politics is because they want to see their society move in the right direction. I do not belong to or lead any political organisation,” he said.
Hamal also remarked that politics is the backbone of a country, and therefore, no one can completely stay out of its influence. “Everyone, regardless of their field, should take an interest in politics because it truly is the spine of the nation,” he said.
In the first session of the Fine Print Fever Ghumti Sahitya Utsav, actress Sanisha Bharai held a conversation with author Subin Bhattarai about his latest work ‘Chameli Phool Baijani Rumal’.
In another session, writer Dr. Nawaraj KC discussed his book ‘Swasparshko Sparsh’ with literary figure Upendra Paudel.
