NA chair Dahal departs for Geneva

Kathmandu, Oct 17:  National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal has left for Geneva to take part in the 151st General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union this morning. National Assembly members Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami and Madan Kumari Shah (Garima) are also part of the delegation. 

Chair Dahal is set to address the General Assembly in Geneva from October 19 to 23, representing Nepal, and there are plans for bilateral meetings with the leaders of various countries' parliaments, as stated in a release by Ekram Giri, Deputy Secretary and Spokesperson of the Federal Parliament Secretariat. 

The delegation members will engage in the activities of the Standing Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. 

The delegation members are scheduled to return home on October 26.(RSS)
