Madhes province Chief Minister Singh announces his resignation

Mahendranagar (Dhanusha), Oct 14: Chief Minister of Madhes Province, Satish Kumar Singh, from the rostrum of the Madhes Province Assembly has announced his resignation from the post today.     

Chief Minister Singh announced his resignation without facing a vote of confidence today, the last day to seek a vote of trust from the Province Assembly.     

Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal postponed the meeting of Madhes PA until next notice, citing it is not necessary to seek vote of confidence after the announcement of the Chief Minister's resignation.     

The announcement of resignation of Chief Minister Singh has paved the way for the formation of a new government in the province.(RSS)
