Kathmandu, Oct 9: The Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has clarified that it has not requested any personal or confidential information from its customers.
The Bank expressed serious concern over reports that its customers have been receiving phone calls from unauthorized individuals engaged in fraudulent activities. These callers attempt to extract personal details by offering fake schemes and promises of financial gain, the Bank warned.
“No bank employee or authorized representative has made phone calls, sent emails, or used social media or other communication networks to ask for ATM PINs, mobile banking or e-banking OTPs, personal email credentials, passwords, or any other confidential information,” the Bank stated in a press release issued today.
RBB Deputy Executive Officer Pawan Regmi urged customers not to respond to or entertain such fraudulent communications under any circumstances. (RSS)
