Gulmi, Sept 5: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has temporarily revised its flight schedule to Gulmi, a district in Lumbini Province. The national flag-carrier has decided to operate only one flight per week to the district, down from four weekly flights previously available on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

This adjustment comes as two of NAC’s Twin Otter aircraft have been grounded, leaving only one operational for the service. According to Resunga Airport Station Manager Suman Thapa, the sole weekly flight to Gulmi will now be available on Thursdays.

Earlier, regular flights were disrupted for approximately one and a half month due to adverse weather conditions.

As per the revised schedule, the 18-seater Twin Otter will depart from Kathmandu at 6:30 AM, with a fare of Rs 7,500, and return from Gulmi at 7:30 AM, with a fare of Rs 7,300.

Nepal Airlines had launched commercial flights to Gulmi on May 12, 2023. (RSS)
