5G service to start in five months: Minister Gurung

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug 17: Communications and Information Technology Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the 5G service will be started within five months.

Minister Gurung expressed his commitment, citing that he mentioned it in the work performance contract with the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Addressing the 31st Broadcasting Day of the Association of Tamang Journalists, Minister Gurung made it clear that 5G service will be started for the first time in Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara.

He said that Nepal Television and Radio Nepal have been operated as Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) to make them responsible to the people rather than the government.

He also informed that the ministry started institutional reformation of Gorkhapatra Corporation and National News Agency (RSS) by building new acts to replace old ones.
