TRN correspondent Khatri honoured

Sarlahi, Aug. 5: Janarjan Khatri, the Sarlahi correspondent of this daily, has been honoured with the ‘Sagun Rajat Journalism Award’.

Sagun Savings and Credit Cooperative, located in Harion Municipality–11 of Sarlahi, presented the award to Khatri on the occasion of its 26th anniversary. Khatri was presented with a certificate of appreciation along with a cash prize of Rs. 5,250.

He was honoured for his contribution to disseminating information about the organisation’s social initiatives and various activities among its members and the community, thereby supporting the development of the cooperative and the broader cooperative movement.

Khatri was felicitated by Hari Prasad Upreti, Member of the House of Representatives from Sarlahi Constituency No -3, Jawahar Lal Kushwaha, Provincial Assembly Member, Ramesh Budhathoki, Mayor of Harion Municipality, Keshav Prasad Dhakal, Chairperson of Sagun, Mandira Acharya, and Chairperson of the Sarlahi Savings and Credit Cooperative, among others.
