Deuba, Prachanda remember late leader Koirala

Kathmandu, July 4: Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government and political parties be centered on increasing public trust in them.     

Stating that competition and cooperation has been a mandatory culture in the politics, NC President Deuba underlined the need of institutionalizing citizen's rights.     

At a programme organised here on Friday to mark the 102nd birth anniversary of the late Girija Prasad Koirala, Deuba remembered the late leader as an inspirational politician who worked for the cause of democracy and people.     

Similarly, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachada', said it has been widely agreed that Girija Prasad Koirala was a 'guardian of all' in Nepali politics. He demonstrated his political maturity to an immense level during the peace process.     

Senior Vice Chairman of CPN (UML), Ishwor Pokhrel, described late Koirala as a personality with strong will power and activism.     

Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal's Chairman Upendra Yadav applauded the contribution of the late Koirala to promoting the democracy with equity and inclusion.     

NC leaders Mahesh Acharya and Sujata Koirala said Girija Prasad Koirala's contribution to the democratic movements was incomparable.(RSS)
