7 dead, 25 injured in Chitwan bus accident

By Shaligram Nepal/Basanta Parajuli, Chitwan, June 21: At least 7 have died, 25 injured in Chitwan bus accident.

A bus (Pra 1-01-001 Kha 3583) heading towards Kakadvitta from Dhangadhi collided with a microbus (Bagmati Province 03-001 Ja 299) near Khahare Pul of Rapti Municipality-4, Chitwan, on Saturday morning.

Police informed that after the accident, Crain is coming to the accident site to open the obstructed road.

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police of Chitwan Rabindra Khanal, the deceased were 55-year-old Som Prasad Rupakheti of Hatiya-3 Makwanpur, 53-year-old Maiya Kumari Neupane Pahadi of Hetauda-5, Makwanpur, and the other five deceased are yet to be ascertained. There were three females and two males.

The injured are receiving treatment in the various hospitals of Chitwan.
