By Keshav Chandra Mahara, Dipayal, June 20: Three people have been killed and five others have received injuries in a Doti jeep accident on Friday.
A jeep met with an accident at Khirdhar Dhaulamati of Doti District's Adarsha Rural Municipality - 1 on Friday afternoon.
District Police Office Doti's Police Inspector Rajendra Bahadur Chand informed that a Jeep (Su Pa Pra 01 001 Ja 1395) heading towards Mellekh from Adarsh Rural Municipality fell some 250 meters from the road being uncontrolled on a turning.
According to the Police, Sayal Rural Municipality - 4, Sunda's 41-year-old Devi BK, same municipality -6 Katuwal Gaun's 35-year-old Kali Katuwal and Jeep driver Adarsha Rural Municipality - 7, Dadimana's 27-year-old Suresh Karki died in the accident.
The deceased Katuwal were pregnant. Police said that BK and Jeep driver Karki died on the spot, whereas Katuwal breathed her last at the Doti district hospital.
In the accident, Adarsh Rural Municipality-3, Nuwakot's 14-year-old Anita BK and 16-year-old Syanu BK, Same rural municipality-7, Dadimana's 22-year-old Kailash Bist and 14-year-old Dipak Bist received injuries. Similarly, deceased Katuwal's 9-year-old daughter, Sabita Katuwal, was also injured in the accident.
Injured all's treatment is underway at the District hospital, Doti.
