Professor Basudev Tripathi is a renowned critic of Nepali literature. He guided the literary criticism in Nepal during his long career of Professor at Tribhuavn University. The above book thus is a criticism of criticism. Gautam has carefully dared to write the book.

Dr. Tripathi himself launched the book. Surprisingly, Gautam’s book was launched coinciding the 83rd birthday of Dr. Tripathi.  A small birthday ceremony was also organised on the occasion.

Divided into six chapters, the books delves into life and works of Tripathi with focus on criticism. In a sense, the book presents whole picture of the tall figure of the critic of Nepali literature.
