Protest staged at capital for Prakriti Lamsal's justice

Kathmandu, Feb.18: A demonstration has been staged at Kathmandu demanding a fair investigation into the tragic death of a Nepali student at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.  

Nepali Congress affiliated Nepal Students' Union (abbr. NSU (Nevisangh) protested for Lamsal's justice On Tuesday.

Stop Attack on Nepali Students, Justice for Nature Lamsal, and others, were observed in the placards. 

There is a tense environment in the university following the unfortunate incident. Nepali students studying at the university were asked to leave by the university adding more tension to the issue. 

KIIT has also issued an appeal to the Nepali students to return to the campus, resume their classes, and stay in the hostels. It has also assured that academic losses of the students will be taken care of by the Institute, according to the press release.

It has been said that a person related to the Lamsal death case has been arrested and an investigation is underway.
