Govt should devote to citizens: Province Chief Khapung

Biratnagar, Feb 15: Chief of Koshi Province, Parashuram Khapung, has stressed that the province government should devote to public service.     

At a programme organized by the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of Koshi Province here today, Province Chief Khapung shared that the province government should not deviate from the mission of serving people.     

He pointed out the need of alertness for the development works and enforcement of law and order in the province. The Province Chief however said, "Necessary laws are being made for the implementation of federalism and province government is doing its duty honestly."     

Koshi Province has carried out significant activities in a short period of introduction of the federal democratic republic, he claimed.     

On the occasion, he unveiled a book published by Koshi Province government, incorporating the development activities carried out in seven years.     

Similarly, Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki argued that the province government is involved in human resources development along with physical progress. "The government is effortful to reduce poverty along with capital formation and increase. Investment Summit will be organized coming May for capital formation and investment", he shared.     

Likewise, Speaker Ambar Bahadur Bista said it would not be difficult to develop Koshi Province if political stability is established.     

Chief Secretary Kedar Nath Sharma expressed commitment to fulfill his duty honestly.(RSS)
