Attack on Former Koshi CM Thapa

By Lila Raj Khadka, Birtamod, Jan 18: Nepali Congress Koshi Province’s Parliamentary Party leader and Former Chief Minister (CM) of Koshi Province Uddhav Thapa have been attacked today in Kankai Municipality-2, Surunga, Jhapa.

District Police Office informed that he had been attacked at Kankai Municipality -2, Jhukekalvert when he was returning from a picnic organized by Nepal Press Union, Jhapa in Dhomukha. 

Thapa was returning in a vehicle with a registered no Ba 1 Jha 653 was attacked by a group in a vehicle with registered no Ba 1 Ana 1870.  Thapa has been returned to home after getting treatment in Birtacity Hospital Birtamod. 

Clash erupted after a vehicle carrying Electricity Authority staffs got into scuffle with  the vehicle carrying the former CM Thapa.  

49 year old Bhakta Bahadur Katwal of Shivasati 11 and 42 year old Prithiv Shrestha have been arrested in this case. They have said to be staffs of Electricity Authority.
