Two arrested for fraudulent foreign employment schemes

Kathmandu, Dec.19: Two individuals have been arrested for cheating people by promising foreign employment with lucrative salaries. 

According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, police have arrested two people who were cheating people with fake promises of foreign employment with lucrative salaries. 

The 38-year-old Raj Kumar Chaudhary of Ganeshman Chaarnath Municipality-4 Dhanusha district and 39-year-old Rupesh Kumar Chaudhary of Matihani Municipality-9, Dhanusha district, were detailed of fraud. 

Raj Kumar currently resides at Jorpati, Gokarneshwor Municipality-5, and Rupesh Kumar at Gaushala, Kathmandu Metropolitan city-9. 

Raj Kumar deceived two victims into paying Rs six hundred thirty thousand, promising to send them to Poland, while Rupesh Kumar took Rs 1.6 million from one, claiming to send him to Singapore.

All two of them became out of contract with the victims following the monetary transaction. 

After the victims filed complaints, Raj Kumar was arrested from Kadaghari in Kathmandu on Tuesday, and Rupesh Kuma was arrested from Teku, Kathmandu, on Wednesday.

Both have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal, Kathmandu, for further investigation and action.
