Damauli (Tanahun), Nov. 30: Vice-President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Dr Swarnim Wagle has said that Nepal should take maximum benefits from the prime minister's upcoming China visit.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is visiting China from December 2-5 at the cordial invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang.

At a gathering of RSP party cadres in Damauli on Saturday, Dr Wagle said Nepal should take benefits from China, India and other multilateral agencies.

Stating that Nepal has a huge infrastructure gap, Dr Wagle stated that Nepal should accept either grants or loans from donors.

"It makes no difference even if we take the loan if the interest rate is one percent. We should accept the loan if the repayment time is for 30 or 40 years," Dr Wagle argued.

He said that statements of some political parties about not accepting the loan from China were immature. "Nepal should move ahead in a balanced and mature way," economist Dr Wagle added.(RSS)
