Snowfall recorded in Pathibhara

By Chandra Pandak, Taplejung, Nov.21: The snowfall has been recorded in the famous pilgrimage Pathibhara ( Mukkumlung) of Taplejung. 

This is the first snowfall of the year in the Pathibhara which lies at an altitude of 3,794 meters high. 

Rajendra Mahat, an employee of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, said that a general snowfall has occurred from midnight of Tuesday.

He said that snowfall had occurred a little below the premises of Pathibharadham.

There has been snowfall sporadically in the Pathibhara region till now as well.

According to the Pathibhara Area Development Committee's executive director Prajin Hangbang, Earlier, there was a record occurrence of snowfall during October but this year the first snowfall was observed in late November on Wednesday midnight. 

He has urged the devotees who visit Pathibhara to pay heed to their health and adopt precautions during cold weather as the season of snowfall has knocked on the door.
