By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 15: Nepal has formally begun exporting electricity to Bangladesh.
Nepal's Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka, India's Electricity Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Bangladesh's Electricity, Energy and Mining Ministry Advisor Mohammad Fouzul Kabir Khan jointly inaugurated the export of electricity formally by switching on the supply button virtually on Friday.
Nepal, India, and Bangladesh signed a trilateral agreement to trade 40 megawatts of electricity on October 3.
