PM's directive to control revenue leakage

Kathmandu, Aug 27: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed concerned authorities to strictly control revenue leakage.     

During a discussion with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies at the Singha Durbar today, he gave instructions to prevent acts such as cross border smuggling, customs evasion, customs discount or low invoicing so as to prevent revenue leakage.     

He also urged them to come with a concrete plan to collect revenues as targeted for the financial year and up to the capacity of the state.     

Also present on the occasion were Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic and Development Advisor Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, Chief Secretary Liladevi Gadtaula, Secretaries of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Finance, Inspector General of Nepal Police and Armed Police, Chief Investigation Officer of National Investigation Department, Director of Revenue Investigation Department and Director General of Customs Department.(RSS)
